Description
Vibhitaki is extensively used in ancient medicine. Literally it means a fruit that takes away the fear of disease. Also called as Baheda, Bibhitaki, it is one among the ‘Triphala’. Acharya Charaka has classified it among Jwarahara and Kasahara ie group of herbs that are used in the treatment of fever, cold and cough.
Botanical name: Terminalia bellerica Roxb.

The dried fruit pericarp is used to make Vibhitaki Churna.

Balances Kapha and Pitta doshas.
